The Science Behind Momentum
Greater weight loss is strongly associated with higher rates of type 2 diabetes remission — defined as normal blood glucose levels without medication. In large randomised controlled trials [1 , 2], participants who lost more weight were substantially more likely to achieve remission. However, weight loss alone is not enough.
Without protecting muscle and bone, individuals may lose strength and increase their risk of frailty, falls, and fractures. Combining resistance training with targeted nutrition helps preserve muscle and function during weight loss, improving long-term sustainability [3].
Momentum is built on these principles — pairing structured fat loss with strength training and practical nutrition support to improve body composition, protect strength, and build lasting habits.
How it works
A structured 6-month framework designed to build results that last
All plans are delivered through a smartphone app, with clinician oversight and structured progression. The goal is not short-term change; it is sustainable independence.
